This page was created for for fellow educators, parents or students looking to find resources to use in the mathematics classroom. Divided into two sections, Mathematics Resources and Assessment Tools, viewers can find tools that will help them improve mathematics skills through videos, practice, and assessments.
Mathematics Resources
I created this blog for teachers, parents and students looking for interactive mathematics support tools. Geared more toward secondary mathematics, this site offers topics pertaining to fractions, solving and graphing algebraic equations, and a variety of geometry concepts.

Google Classroom simplifies the world of education. It provides teachers and students with the ability to communicate and participate in the learning process electronically. Creating assignments, submitting assignments and grading assignments are all features of this tool.

This curriculum is correlated to the Common Core State Standards. Various resources are provided for teachers. Classroom lists can also be created so that students have online access to their textbook, extra practice on homework, practice quizzes and tests, etc.

Khan Academy offers an immense amount of videos, practice and assessment tools to support students in their learning process. It also provides students with an SAT prep program prescribed to fit the needs of individual learners.

CK-12 is a website that provides access to various textbooks. It also provides videos, real-life applications and practice problems for a range of mathematical concepts. This site is compatible with Apple and Google products.

IXL is a learning resources for students in math and English. With an account, students can work on specific Common Core skills that they have not mastered. If classes are registered, teachers can view student progress and give feedback to them.

Assessment Tools
Kahoot is a fun, interactive way to get students involved in learning through quizzes, polls and surveys. Students use personal devices to ring in answers and will receive immediate feedback.

This tool is meant for teachers to use in order to gather formative assessment data. Students will receive real-time feedback as they ring in their answers.

Formative creates a base for online homework, assessments or classwork to occur. Students are able to type in work, draw sketches/graphs, or upload images to successfully answer each question. Immediate feedback is given through assignments so that students may improve on skills they have not mastered.

Socrative is a student-response system. Students can complete classwork (quizzes, warm-ups, exit tickets) via cell phones or tablets. Unlike the typical paper-pencil work, Socrative allows students to use their knowledge of technology to display work.

TodaysMeet offers a "chatroom" like tool that can be created to support student questions or collaboration on classwork. This tool works well when students have questions or when teachers are looking for students to be engaged in discussions.

By using their cell phone or electronic device, students can communicate/participate in class by texting or Tweeting in responses. This resource engages students by giving them a fun. interactive way to participate in class.
